Our Story
We are two gypsy hearted spirits who choose to create our own path to live unconventionally. Our journey led us to the tranquil island life of Key West, a place that captured our hearts while living in our small sailboat and inspired us to start our houseboat rental and custom houseboat build company.
While traveling across the country in our Airstream RV, which is another short-term rental property we provide, we discovered Key West and recognized it as the dream location to turn our vision into reality. With enthusiasm and determination, we took the leap—quitting our jobs, selling our home, relocating, and constructing our first houseboat, Balance Key. Today, Balance Key is available for short-term rentals, allowing guests to experience the unique charm of life we have felt on the water.
As our business flourishes, we expanded our offerings and are currently working on our second rental, Little Conch Key. In addition to providing unforgettable stays, we now have the pleasure of assisting clients in creating their own custom houseboats, tailored just for them.
